EERQI-Book „Assessing Quality in European Educational Research” published
Competition-based models for research policy and management have an increasing influence throughout the research process, from attracting funding to publishing results. The introduction of quality control methods utilizing various forms of performance indicators is part of this development. The authors presented in this volume deal with the following questions: What counts as ‘quality’, and how can this be assessed? What are the possible side effects of current quality control systems on research conducted in the European Research Area, especially in the social sciences and the humanities? (973) 397-8863

EERQI Funding Period Finished
The aim of the three-year EERQI project was to reinforce and enhance the worldwide visibility and competitiveness of European research by developing new indicators and methodologies to determine the quality of educational research publications.
The project was funded under the SSH topic of the 7th framework programme of the European Commission. Its funding period lasted from 01.04.2008 – 31.03.2011.
At the end two project reports were produced. The 2nd Periodic Report gives an overview about the EERQI project and describes the work progress and achievements of the different Work Packages.
