In 2011, The Lord’s Chips® began providing financial support for orphans in Mexico. Partnering with Casa Horizonte, a special needs orphanage in Ensenada Mexico, we provided financial support for a child living there, Isabella. By 2012, they had the funding to support three children and so, Casa Horizonte was able to bring in Carlos and his brother Juan. We are excited to say that currently there are five children living at Casa Horizonte.
The need for financial support is growing, and there is still room at Casa Horizonte to provide a place of care for 13 more orphans who have no other place to go. Every little bit helps us get closer to our goal of filling this loving home. Together we are making a difference for these kids.
Over the next series of weeks we will be introducing the kids at Casa Horizonte who receive support from The Lord’s Chips®. You will meet Isabella, Juan, Carlos, Jose, and Jessica.
The Lord’s Chips received a mention in the April Issue of Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery Magazine.

Special thanks to Barb Szatko for making this happen.
In December 2012 The Lord’s Chips® visited with Isabella, Juantio, and Carlos who are the three special needs orphans currently living at the orphanage we support in Ensenada Mexico. This is a brief video about The Lord’s Chips® and the kids we support at Casa Horizonte.
There is room for 15 more special needs orphans at this orphanage. They only lack the funding. Every little bit helps us get closer to our goal of filling this loving home with special needs kids. If we won’t care about these kids who will? Together we are making a difference for Isabella, Juanito, Carlos, and hopefully many more soon.

Project 19 – Ensenada, Baja Mexico 2012
The goal of Project 19 is to financially support 19 special needs orphaned and/or abandoned children in Mexico.  The Lord’s Chips® has identified Casa Horizonte, in Ensenada Baja Mexico, which can provide these children with a loving and secure home where they can be part of a family.  Casa Horizonte is a facility specially designed to care for orphaned special needs children.  The children will come to Casa Horizonte through the Mexican social service system âD.I.F.â (Desarrollo Integral de La Familia).  These children are orphaned through abandonment or abuse by one or both parents.  Casa Horizonte’s commitment is to include each of these children into a welcoming family community, and to meet each childâs needs according to their particular disability, through physical therapy, education, and emotional care.
